Swine FluAccording to the Government, swine flu infections may have ‘plateued’ this week. That’s not to say that we should all heave a collective sigh of relief and forget about the whole thing, but it does indicate that things may be slowing down, at least for now.

Short of walking around with a doctor-esque facemask or full on scuba suit though, there is little you can realistically do to avoid the swine flu altogether - but read on to find out how you can nudge those odds slightly back in your favour.

Met Office Reneges On Good Summer

sizzling sausagesApparently, the Met Office got it wrong. Call my cynical, but when have they ever got it right?

You may as well fire up eBay.com and flog that BBQ you just bought as you certainly ain’t gonna be using it this side of Christmas. The recent stint of bad weather has put the Met Office under pressure and they’ve offically changed their summer forecast from warm and dry to wet and unsettled.

Buy A Caravan, Avoid Moles

mole_hillsWe’ve all been there. Being woken up in the middle of the night, with a seething pain lodged in your back, due to a newly erected mole hill under your tent. Yes folks, the dangers of camp sites coupled with the ever-present mole is not something that should be overlooked in these modern health-and-safety-fueled times.

Of course, theres a very easy way to avoid the pain and embarrassment outlined above; buy a caravan.

Rain’s Great When You’re In a Warm Hotel Room

Admittedly, the past week or so has not been the best advert in the world for holidaying in the UK. I peered out of my bedroom window this morning to witness a torrent of water running down my road at a speed akin to Usain Bolt show-boating his way to a world record and, I have to admit, didn’t feel too envious of those of you taking your summer break in one of our countries fabulous caravan parks.
