new-hotelUK family holiday giant Butlins has announced the imminent opening of it’s new £20m hotel aimed almost exclusively at the under 16s.

The company, started by Billy Butlin back in 1936, will install innovative features at the new Bognor Regis hotel such as the countries first snow cave, disco lifts and even singing showers. The team here at BHP can think of a few Mums and Dads that would probably enjoy the attractions just as much - if not more - than the kids!

Mike Crowther, Project Director has said:

“This is obviously an exciting project for us. The Shoreline Hotel has proved a huge success attracting over 35,000 guests last year and achieving an average occupancy of 92%. The new hotel not only enables us to demolish older accommodation, but it provides us with more opportunity to support the fantastic regeneration program for Bognor Regis as a whole. The new hotel will look breathtaking”.

Butlins were once a stalwart of the working family British holiday but, since the closing of their Clacton and Filey holiday parks back in the early eighties, have lost out somewhat in recent years to the rise of cheap flights and package holidays abroad.

With the opening of this flagship Bognor Regis hotel, they hope to once again reign supreme in the UK family holiday market.
